Melotas Beverage Inc. is a Toronto-based producer and distributor of premium sorghum-based beers — Melotas, Mojo, and Tanel — each an extension of a single story that began generations ago in West Africa.
We are proudly African in origin, proudly Canadian in home, and proudly shaped by the Caribbean rhythm that fills so much of the city we brew in. Toronto didn't dilute our story. It gave it a bigger stage.
The People Behind the Legend
From family recipe to open invitation
Every legend needs someone willing to carry it forward. What started as a family recipe, whispered between generations, became a mission: build a beer brand that feels less like a product on a shelf and more like an open invitation — the kind Yejide herself would have handed you at her doorway.
We built Melotas Beverage Inc. the way the old stories get built — slowly, carefully, with stubborn belief that something this good deserved to be shared with more than just one village.
